Something in the same vein, but grittier, is Ethan Hawke`s debut Ash Wednesday, which I would heartily recommend. If you enjoy thrillers, I would also recommend Ian McEwan`s Saturday, which was so compelling that I cannot remember what else was going on at the time I first read it. Love the blog Jaz!
